Welcome to our new website. We have been in business for over 18 years, but this website is brand new. We are evolving, changing, moving on, re-focusing, re-launching our club. Whatever we call it, the thing is that we are having a new face. In July 1993, we opened our door for business as Taishan Internal Arts Club. In the 18 some odd years, we have seen it all. We survived bad economy and we thrived during good times. One thing never changed – our love for the art.
I am Jack Yan – the founder of Taishan Internal Arts Club. With years of hard work and mainly good luck, I am now an in-chamber disciple of Grand Master Chen Zhenglei who is a major gate keeper of Chen’s Taichi. I am also accredited with the 7th Duan of Chinese Martial Arts by Chinese Wushu Association. One achievement that I take great pride in is my Ph. D in Chinese Martial Arts. I worked hard for that. Battered, tempered, humiliated and honed, I am ready to take this club to the next level. I have a great team behind me and we have the best social environment ever to take this club forward. In 1988 when I first began teaching in Canada, it was an effort explaining what Taichi was. In 1993 when we first opened Taishan Internal Arts Club, few people knew what Taichi was. Now, few don’t.
We are bringing in Tea as well. Yes, we will do tea tasting event and we will do Taichi and Tea practices. Check back often and share our excitement. Better yet, join us and we will do Taichi and Tea!
